How the day pillar changes your horoscope
A standard horoscope sorts all of humanity into twelve boxes by Sun sign. This page adds a second axis from the East Asian Four Pillars tradition: your day pillar. In Saju, the day you were born carries its own sign — one of sixty combinations of an element-stem (like Yang Wood or Yin Fire) and an animal branch (Rat through Pig), cycling continuously every sixty days since long before either calendar you use was standardized.
The day pillar is considered the core of a Saju chart — it represents you, rather than your family, your era, or your public role.
